So first of all thanks a lot for your good efforts and work shared with us, I guess many really appreaciate it! Obviously your file only works properly for XBMC. So when I run it, the only thing that happens is that the green button is turned off, so no more Windows MCE. All icons, screens now say KODI.

Only your way to deal with xbmc was working with me as my remote controller does not seem to be ehome compliant zotac. So I changed the script directly and it now works like a charm. A compiled version of ehshell. Would really love to use this.

David on January 28, If you need anything specific to run you can create a batch file that lists out each of the executables you need to start with Windows 8 including XBMC , and then in Step 3 above you can put the path to the batch file. After you have enabled the kiosk mode in Windows 8 there will probably be times that you need to make changes to the system, and to do so you need to get back to the classic desktop.
There you go. With all of that in place you should be able to start your Windows 8 computer and immediately begin enjoying everything that XBMC has to offer. Click OK, and you should be prompted to enter in the password for that user. XBMC should be shown immediately after startup. Throw some of these high bitrate p sample videos at it. It will let you easily control all of the XBMC instances in your house as long as they are all on the same network.
